TransFormA has prepared a summary of the “Policy Document for Advancing the Rights of Transgender People in North Macedonia,” presenting the main findings, challenges, and priorities for improving the rights and position of transgender people in the country.

The summary highlights key issues related to safety and discrimination, legal gender recognition, labour and social rights, access to healthcare, and the need to strengthen the LGBTI community and activism. It also outlines priority areas for policy and institutional change.

The document was developed within the project “Strengthening the Resilience and Safety of the Trans Community through Monitoring Anti-Gender Attacks and Movement Collaboration,” supported through the TGEU (Trans Europe and Central Asia) EECA Trans Community Small Grants 2026 programme.
